The Old School House, is a comfortable dwelling of rustic charm, peace, and beauty. At the turn of the century the residence of the village schoolmaster and today a place to escape and unwind. Placed in the heart of the hamlet of Porthpean in a wonderful rural setting, yet minutes from amenities, the School House is the perfect place for your Cornish holiday.

The cottage has beautiful sea views from all the windows, a rambling country garden and a deck on which to have a drink and watch the wildlife. Buzzards circle overhead, house martins nest next to the bedroom window and in the field adjoining are rabbits, cows or sheep.

Within five minutes you can walk through the field to a wonderful safe sandy beach or onto the cliff path towards Blackhead with beautiful views of the coast. The cottage is adjacent to an area designated to be of Outstanding Natural Beauty and this is combined with a sailing club next to the beach. There is enough parking to place a boat on the drive and it is within walking distance of a eighteen hole golf course.

The lovely Georgian harbour village of Charlestown can be reached in a few minutes by car or on foot by road.

Charlestown has a number of gift shops, a shipwreck museum, pubs, restaurants and a tea shop called Charlies which sells homemade cakes . It is also home to the square-rigged sailing ships and is used as a location for films.

The Eden Project is fifteen minutes by car and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are nearby.
